Hansemide

Hansemide contains Furosemide, a potent loop diuretic (water pill) that inhibits the reabsorption of sodium and chloride in the kidneys. This increases the elimination of water, sodium, chloride, and potassium, effectively reducing fluid overload and lowering blood pressure.

Dosage by Body Weight

The standard adult oral dose is 20 mg to 80 mg daily, adjusted based on response. Pediatric dosage is calculated strictly by body weight, typically starting at 1 to 2 mg/kg per dose. Regular monitoring of electrolytes, particularly potassium, is highly recommended.
