Fluhalt

Fluhalt contains Oseltamivir, an antiviral medication belonging to the class of neuraminidase inhibitors. It works by blocking the viral enzyme neuraminidase, which prevents the influenza virus from replicating and spreading within the body. It helps shorten the duration and mitigate the severity of flu symptoms.

Dosage by Body Weight

Treatment should begin within 48 hours of the first onset of flu symptoms. The typical adult dosage for treatment is 75 mg twice daily for 5 days. For flu prevention (prophylaxis), the dose is typically 75 mg once daily. It can be taken with or without food, though taking it with food can decrease the chance of stomach upset.
