Fluvir

Fluvir is an antiviral medication containing Oseltamivir, which belongs to a class of medicines called neuraminidase inhibitors. It works by stopping the influenza virus from spreading inside the body, helping to ease symptoms and shorten recovery time when taken within 48 hours of symptom onset.

Dosage by Body Weight

Best started within 48 hours of the first symptoms of flu. For treatment, it is typically taken twice daily for 5 days. For prevention, it is taken once daily for 10 days or up to 6 weeks during an outbreak. It can be taken with or without food, though taking it with food reduces the chance of stomach upset.
