Fentora

Fentora is a potent, rapid-acting opioid analgesic containing fentanyl citrate, formulated as an effervescent buccal tablet. It utilizes a special drug delivery system that alters local pH to enhance absorption directly through the oral mucosa, bypassing first-pass metabolism for rapid onset of pain relief.

Dosage by Body Weight

Initial dose is always 100 mcg. Individually titrate to a tolerable dose that provides adequate analgesia. Limit use to treat no more than four episodes of breakthrough pain per day. Patients must wait at least 4 hours before treating another episode of breakthrough pain with Fentora. Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established.
