Distocide

Distocide is an anthelmintic medication containing Praziquantel. It is highly effective against various species of flatworms and flukes. It works by causing muscle contraction and paralysis in the parasites, leading to their detachment from the host's tissues and subsequent destruction by the immune system.

Dosage by Body Weight

Dosage must be individualized based on body weight and the specific parasite being treated. The standard dose ranges from 20 mg/kg to 25 mg/kg per dose, taken 1 to 3 times in a single day at intervals of 4 to 6 hours. Tablets should be swallowed whole with water during meals and must not be chewed or crushed to avoid a bitter taste that can induce vomiting.
