Caplyta

Caplyta is an atypical antipsychotic. While its exact mechanism is unknown, its efficacy is thought to be mediated through a combination of antagonist activity at 5-HT2A receptors and post-synaptic antagonist activity at central dopamine D2 receptors, along with moderate reuptake inhibition of serotonin.

Dosage by Body Weight

The recommended dose is 42 mg once daily, taken orally with or without food. No dosage titration is required. Dose reductions (e.g., to 10.5 mg or 21 mg) may be necessary when used with strong or moderate CYP3A4 inhibitors, or in patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment.
