Restores calcium levels to maintain nerve and muscle function, particularly the heart.

Dosage by Body Weight

Acute hypocalcemia: 100 mg/kg (1 ml/kg of 10% solution). Must be infused slowly; rapid IV can cause cardiac arrest.
