Brethaire

Brethaire (terbutaline sulfate) is a bronchodilator (beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist) designed for oral inhalation. It works by relaxing muscles in the airways to improve breathing. Although the Brethaire brand has been discontinued in several markets, the active ingredient terbutaline remains widely used.

Dosage by Body Weight

The usual dosage for adults and children 12 years of age and older is 2 inhalations separated by a 60-second interval, repeated every 4 to 6 hours as needed. It is not routinely prescribed or dosed by body weight for infants and young children.
