Bandy

Bandy is an anthelmintic (anti-worm) medication containing Albendazole. It acts by inhibiting tubulin polymerization in the worm, causing structural and functional changes in its intestine, which leads to glucose depletion, loss of energy, and immobilization, eventually resulting in the death of the parasite.

Dosage by Body Weight

Bandy tablets can be crushed, chewed, or swallowed with water. For gastrointestinal worm infections, it is typically administered as a single dose. For systemic tissue-dwelling infections like neurocysticercosis, it should be taken with a fat-rich meal to enhance systemic absorption. Always complete the prescribed duration.
