Atrolak

Atrolak contains Ketorolac Tromethamine, a potent nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby reducing the production of prostaglandins which are responsible for causing pain, fever, and inflammation. The systemic forms are used for short-term pain relief, while the ophthalmic form is used to manage eye pain and swelling after surgery or due to allergies.

Dosage by Body Weight

Systemic treatment (oral/injectable) must not exceed 5 days due to the risk of severe renal and gastrointestinal side effects. For eye drops, the typical dose is 1 drop in the affected eye(s) four times daily. Dosage must be strictly determined and supervised by a qualified healthcare professional.
