Alvesco

Alvesco is an inhaled corticosteroid containing ciclesonide, which is used for the long-term prevention and treatment of asthma symptoms in adults and adolescents. It works by reducing inflammation and swelling in the airways, making it easier to breathe. It must be used regularly to be effective and is not intended for the relief of sudden, acute asthma attacks.

Dosage by Body Weight

Standard dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and older is typically 80 to 160 mcg twice daily, with a maximum dose of 320 mcg twice daily. Always rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after using the inhaler to prevent oral thrush.
