Ak-Trol
Ak-Trol is a sterile, multiple-dose prescription ophthalmic medication. It combines the anti-inflammatory action of dexamethasone (a corticosteroid) with the antibacterial action of neomycin sulfate and polymyxin B sulfate to treat ocular inflammation accompanied by or at risk of superficial bacterial infection.
Dosage by Body Weight
Ophthalmic Suspension: Instill 1 to 2 drops into the conjunctival sac(s) up to 4 to 6 times daily. Ophthalmic Ointment: Apply a small amount (about a 1/2 inch ribbon) into the conjunctival sac(s) 3 to 4 times daily.
