Adenosine
Slows conduction time through the AV node. It has a very short half-life (seconds) and must be given as a rapid IV bolus followed by a flush.
Dosage by Body Weight
Initial pediatric dose: 0.1 mg/kg (max 6 mg). If unsuccessful, 0.2 mg/kg (max 12 mg). Requires continuous ECG monitoring.
