Pitavastatin magnesium

Pitavastatin magnesium is an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) indicated as an adjunctive therapy to diet in adult and pediatric patients aged 8 years and older with primary hyperlipidemia or mixed dyslipidemia to reduce elevated total cholesterol, LDL-C, Apo B, and TG.

Dosage by Body Weight

Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once daily. The recommended starting dosage is 2 mg once daily, and the maximum dose is 4 mg once daily. Dosages for pediatric patients aged 8 years and older start at 1 mg to 2 mg once daily.
