Fluocinonide
Fluocinonide is a high-potency (Group II) or ultra-high potency (Group I, for 0.1% formulations) topical corticosteroid. It works by depressing the formation, release, and activity of endogenous chemical mediators of inflammation.
Dosage by Body Weight
Apply a thin film to the affected area 2 to 4 times daily for 0.05% formulations, or once daily for 0.1% formulations. Rub in gently. Do not use for more than 2 consecutive weeks, and do not exceed 50 grams per week of the 0.1% cream or 60 grams per week of the 0.05% formulations. Avoid application to the face, groin, or axillae.

- If used, apply the smallest amount possible for the shortest duration. Do not use occlusive dressings (including diapers or plastic pants).
- Body Weight
- 16-20 kg
- Dose
- Apply thin film sparingly to limited areas
