Travatan Z

Travatan Z (travoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.004% is a sterile topical ophthalmic solution used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It is a prostaglandin analog that works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor from the eye. It is formulated with a proprietary ionic buffered preservative system (soFzia) designed to be gentler on the ocular surface compared to traditional benzalkonium chloride preservatives.

Dosage by Body Weight

The recommended dosage is one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening. Dose should not exceed once daily, as more frequent administration may decrease the intraocular pressure-lowering effect. If other topical ophthalmic drugs are being used, they should be administered at least 5 minutes apart.
