Tirosint

Tirosint is a brand-name synthetic thyroid hormone (T4) used to replace thyroxine that the thyroid gland cannot produce enough of on its own. It is uniquely formulated as a gelatin soft capsule containing liquid levothyroxine, which contains no gluten, dyes, alcohol, lactose, or sugar. This formulation is designed to improve absorption, particularly in patients with gastrointestinal issues or food/chemical sensitivities.

Dosage by Body Weight

Dosages must be individualized based on clinical response and laboratory assessments (TSH and free T4 levels). It should be taken once daily in the morning on an empty stomach, at least 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast, with a full glass of water. Dosage adjustments should be supervised closely by a healthcare professional.
