Tinactin

Tinactin is a popular over-the-counter topical antifungal medication containing tolnaftate. It works by preventing the growth of fungi that cause common skin infections. It is effective both for treating active infections and for preventing the recurrence of athlete's foot when used daily.

Dosage by Body Weight

Clean and thoroughly dry the affected area. Apply a thin layer of the cream, spray, or powder over the affected area twice daily (morning and night). For athlete's foot, pay special attention to spaces between the toes. Use daily for 4 weeks for athlete's foot and ringworm, and for 2 weeks for jock itch.
