Tayros LC
Tayros LC is a combination medication containing Levocetirizine (a second-generation antihistamine) and Montelukast (a leukotriene receptor antagonist). Levocetirizine works by blocking histamine, a natural substance that causes allergic symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes. Montelukast blocks leukotrienes, which are chemicals that cause inflammation, swelling, and constriction in the airways, helping to relieve both nasal allergy symptoms and mild asthma-related airway constriction.
Dosage by Body Weight
Standard adult dose is one tablet (Levocetirizine 5mg + Montelukast 10mg) taken once daily, preferably in the evening, with or without food. Pediatric doses use lower strengths (Kid tablets or syrup) and must be determined by a pediatrician.
