Stampress

Stampress contains Ramipril, which belongs to a class of medications called ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme) inhibitors. It works by decreasing certain chemicals that tighten the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump blood more efficiently. It is widely prescribed for cardiovascular protection in high-risk patients.

Dosage by Body Weight

Dosage must be individualized. The standard adult starting dose for hypertension is 2.5 mg once daily, which may be increased up to 10 mg daily depending on blood pressure response. For heart failure or post-myocardial infarction, the starting dose is usually lower (1.25 mg to 2.5 mg twice daily). Pediatric use is highly specialized and restricted.
