Spiriva Handihaler

Spiriva Handihaler is an anticholinergic bronchodilator containing tiotropium bromide. It is designed for oral inhalation only using the Handihaler device. It works by relaxing and opening the airways to the lungs, making it easier to breathe for patients with COPD. The capsules must only be inhaled using the device and should never be swallowed.

Dosage by Body Weight

The standard adult dose is the inhalation of the powder contents of one Spiriva capsule once daily, at the same time each day, using the HandiHaler inhalation device. Do not swallow the capsules.
