Rebetol

Rebetol (ribavirin) is an antiviral nucleoside analogue. It works by stopping the virus that causes hepatitis C from spreading inside the body. Rebetol must not be used alone as it is ineffective for treating chronic hepatitis C without companion therapy.

Dosage by Body Weight

Dosage is strictly calculated based on patient body weight, renal function, and the specific combination antiviral regimen. Typically administered twice daily (morning and evening) with food. It is highly teratogenic and contraindicated in pregnant women and male partners of pregnant women.
