Rayaldee

Rayaldee is an extended-release formulation of calcifediol (vitamin D3). It is designed to gradually raise serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels to normal levels, which helps to lower elevated parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels in adults with chronic kidney disease without causing sudden spikes in calcium or phosphorus.

Dosage by Body Weight

The recommended starting dose is 30 mcg administered orally once daily at bedtime. Serum calcium should be below 9.8 mg/dL before initiating treatment. The dose may be increased to 60 mcg once daily after 3 months if intact PTH remains above the target range.
