Piperacillin + Tazobactam
An extended-spectrum penicillin combined with a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It is highly effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and anaerobic bacteria.
Dosage by Body Weight
Pediatric dose (2 months to 12 years): 100 mg/kg of the piperacillin component every 8 hours. For febrile neutropenia: 80 mg/kg every 6 hours.
