Pantoprazole suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the H+/K+ ATP enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells.

Dosage by Body Weight

In pediatrics, it is generally used for children 5 years and older. Dosage is weight-based (approx 1 mg/kg).
