Opatanol

Opatanol is an antihistamine and mast cell stabilizer ophthalmic solution. It works by blocking histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms, and preventing the release of other inflammatory chemicals in the eye.

Dosage by Body Weight

The standard dose for adults and children aged 3 years and older is 1 drop in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) twice daily, spaced 8 hours apart. Avoid contacting the dropper tip with the eye or surrounding areas to prevent contamination. If wearing contact lenses, remove them before application and wait at least 10 to 15 minutes before reinserting.
