Oncovin

Oncovin is a brand name for vincristine sulfate, an oncology drug belonging to the class of vinca alkaloids. It works by binding to tubulin and inhibiting microtubule formation, which arrests cell division during metaphase. It is highly toxic and must be administered strictly via the intravenous route under direct supervision of a qualified oncology specialist.

Dosage by Body Weight

Dosage is highly individualized and must be determined by an oncologist. Administered strictly via intravenous infusion. FATAL IF GIVEN BY OTHER ROUTES (especially intrathecal). For pediatric patients weighing 10 kg or less, dosing is typically calculated by body weight (0.05 mg/kg once weekly) instead of body surface area (BSA).
