Obimet

Obimet contains Metformin, an oral biguanide antihyperglycemic agent. It works by decreasing hepatic glucose production, decreasing intestinal absorption of glucose, and improving insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.

Dosage by Body Weight

Usually started at 500 mg once or twice daily taken with or after meals to reduce stomach upset. Dosage should be individualized and adjusted gradually under medical supervision based on blood glucose levels.
