Nifedine

Nifedine contains Nifedipine, a calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing the blood vessels and slowing the movement of calcium into the cells of the heart and blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and lowering blood pressure and cardiac workload.

Dosage by Body Weight

For adults, the typical starting dose of extended-release formulations is 30 mg to 60 mg taken orally once daily. Dosage may be increased progressively by a physician based on response. Tablets must be swallowed whole and should not be crushed, chewed, or divided. Not recommended for routine use in pediatric patients without specialist supervision.
