Mistabron

Mistabron contains Mesna, a mucolytic agent that chemically disrupts disulfide bonds in mucoproteins, thereby reducing the viscosity of bronchial secretions and facilitating expectoration. It is administered directly into the respiratory tract via nebulization or instillation.

Dosage by Body Weight

Administered via nebulizer or direct airway instillation. The usual adult dose is 3 to 6 mL (1 to 2 ampoules of 10% solution) nebulized 3 to 4 times daily. For pediatric patients, nebulization should be performed under strict medical supervision, often diluted 1:1 with sterile water or physiological saline to prevent airway irritation.
