Mirapex ER

Mirapex ER is an extended-release, once-daily formulation of pramipexole, a non-ergoline dopamine agonist. It works by stimulating dopamine receptors in the brain to help control body movements, muscle stiffness, and tremors associated with Parkinson's disease.

Dosage by Body Weight

Take orally once daily, with or without food. Tablets must be swallowed whole and should not be chewed, crushed, or divided. The typical starting dose is 0.375 mg once daily, titrated gradually at intervals of 5 to 7 days up to a maximum dose of 4.5 mg once daily, depending on individual efficacy and tolerability. Dosage adjustment is required for patients with moderate to severe renal impairment.
