Ketoprofen

Ketoprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the propionic acid class. It works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins that cause pain, fever, and inflammation.

Dosage by Body Weight

Adult usual oral dose is 25 mg to 75 mg every 6 to 8 hours as needed, or 200 mg once daily for extended-release formulations. Maximum daily dose is 300 mg (or 200 mg for extended-release).
