Ketomac
Ketomac is an antifungal formulation containing Ketoconazole. It is widely used to treat and prevent fungal infections of the skin and scalp, most notably dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting cell membrane integrity and clearing the infection.
Dosage by Body Weight
For Ketomac Shampoo: Apply to wet hair and scalp, massage to lather, leave for 3 to 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use twice weekly for 2 to 4 weeks to treat infection, then once every 1 to 2 weeks to prevent recurrence. For other forms, apply or take exactly as directed by a physician.
