Insulin Lispro

Insulin lispro is a rapid-acting recombinant human insulin analog. It begins to work approximately 15 minutes after injection, peaks in about 1 hour, and keeps working for 2 to 4 hours. It works by stimulating peripheral glucose uptake and inhibiting hepatic glucose production.

Dosage by Body Weight

Dosage must be highly individualized based on the patient's metabolic needs, blood glucose monitoring results, and glycemic control goals. It is typically administered subcutaneously within 15 minutes before a meal or immediately after a meal.
