Glucagon Emergency Kit

The Glucagon Emergency Kit contains a single-dose vial of sterile glucagon powder and a pre-filled syringe containing sterile water for reconstitution. Glucagon is a hormone that signals the liver to release stored glucose into the bloodstream, rapidly raising blood sugar levels during a severe hypoglycemic event.

Dosage by Body Weight

For adults and pediatric patients weighing 25 kg or more (or 6 years of age and older), administer 1 mg (full syringe) subcutaneously or intramuscularly. For pediatric patients weighing less than 25 kg (or under 6 years of age), administer 0.5 mg (half syringe). Seek emergency medical help immediately after administration. Turn the patient on their side to prevent choking, as vomiting is a common side effect.
