Flonase (fluticasone Propionate)

Flonase is an over-the-counter corticosteroid nasal spray containing fluticasone propionate. It works by reducing inflammation and swelling in the nasal passages to alleviate allergy symptoms triggered by pollen, mold, dust mites, and pet dander.

Dosage by Body Weight

Adults and adolescents (12 years and older): 2 sprays in each nostril once daily (or 1 spray in each nostril twice daily). After 1 week, if symptoms are controlled, reduce to 1 spray in each nostril daily. Children (4 to 11 years): 1 spray in each nostril once daily. Do not use in children under 4 years of age unless directed by a doctor.
