Escitil

Escitil contains escitalopram, which belongs to a group of antidepressants called Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs). These medicines work by increasing the serotonin levels in the brain to help improve mood and anxiety symptoms.

Dosage by Body Weight

Take Escitil as a single daily dose, with or without food. The usual dose for adults is 10 mg per day, which may be increased by your doctor to a maximum of 20 mg per day. For elderly patients, the recommended starting dose is 5 mg once daily, with a maximum dose of 10 mg per day.
