Eptoin

Eptoin contains Phenytoin, an anticonvulsant / antiepileptic drug. It works by stabilizing neuronal membranes and limiting the spread of seizure activity in the brain by modulating sodium channels. It has a narrow therapeutic window, meaning dosing must be precise and often guided by blood level monitoring.

Dosage by Body Weight

Dosage must be highly individualized. Standard target therapeutic plasma level is 10 to 20 mcg/mL. Do not stop taking this medication abruptly, as it may precipitate status epilepticus. Take at the same time each day.
