Di-Spaz

Di-Spaz (dicyclomine hydrochloride) is an anticholinergic and antispasmodic medication. It works by blocking the action of acetylcholine on smooth muscle receptors in the gastrointestinal tract, thereby reducing spasms, cramping, and hypermotility of the gut.

Dosage by Body Weight

The typical adult dose is 10 mg to 20 mg four times daily, which may be increased up to 40 mg four times daily if tolerated. Di-Spaz is contraindicated in infants under 6 months of age due to severe risk of respiratory distress, seizures, and cardiovascular complications.
