Deriphyllin

Deriphyllin is a combination bronchodilator medication containing Etofylline and Theophylline. It belongs to the xanthine class of drugs, which work by relaxing the smooth muscles of the bronchial airways and pulmonary blood vessels, thereby relieving shortness of breath, wheezing, and chest tightness.

Dosage by Body Weight

Dosage must be strictly individualized based on clinical response, age, and patient tolerance. Tablets (especially Retard/prolonged-release versions) must be swallowed whole and not chewed or crushed. Usually taken after food to prevent gastric irritation.
