Cayston

Cayston is an inhaled monobactam antibacterial drug. It is reconstituted and administered using the Altera Nebulizer System to deliver aztreonam directly to the airways, targeting Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections in individuals with cystic fibrosis.

Dosage by Body Weight

The standard dose for adults and pediatric patients aged 7 years and older is 75 mg (one reconstituted vial) administered 3 times daily for a 28-day course, followed by 28 days off therapy. Doses should be spaced at least 4 hours apart.
