Camphor and Menthol Lotion
Camphor and Menthol lotion is a combination topical medication containing two counterirritants. Camphor and menthol work by stimulating nerve endings in the skin that detect cold and warmth, producing a cooling and warming sensation. This process helps distract the brain from processing underlying muscle/joint pain or localized skin itching. It is designed solely for external, topical use.
Dosage by Body Weight
Apply a thin layer of lotion to the affected area and rub in gently. It can be applied up to 3 to 4 times daily. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after application to avoid accidental transfer to the eyes or sensitive mucosal areas. Do not apply to open wounds, damaged, or irritated skin, and do not wrap or bandage treated areas tightly.
