Cabaser
Cabaser contains cabergoline, an ergot derivative that acts as a potent, long-acting dopamine receptor agonist with high affinity for D2 receptors. By stimulating dopamine receptors in the corpus striatum, it helps alleviate the motor deficits associated with Parkinson's disease.
Dosage by Body Weight
For Parkinson's disease, the initiation dose is typically 1 mg once daily, which may be gradually titrated up by a healthcare provider (usually by 0.5 mg to 1 mg increments weekly or bi-weekly) to an effective therapeutic dose. The maximum dose generally does not exceed 3 mg to 6 mg daily. It should be administered with food to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.
