Buscopan

Buscopan contains hyoscine butylbromide, an antispasmodic drug which relaxes the smooth muscle of the gastrointestinal and genitourinary tracts, helping to alleviate painful spasms and cramps.

Dosage by Body Weight

Adults and children over 12 years: 1 to 2 tablets (10-20 mg) 3 to 4 times daily. For Irritable Bowel Syndrome, the recommended starting dose is 1 tablet (10 mg) three times daily, increasing to 2 tablets four times daily if required. Children 6 to 12 years: 1 tablet (10 mg) three times daily. Not recommended for children under 6 years.
