Bambec

Bambec contains Bambuterol, which is a prodrug of terbutaline, a selective beta2-sympathomimetic agent. It relaxes airway smooth muscle and decreases airway resistance. Because of its slow metabolism and long-lasting action, it is taken once daily, usually before bedtime.

Dosage by Body Weight

Adults: Usually 10 mg to 20 mg once daily at bedtime. Children 2-12 years: Typically 5 mg to 10 mg once daily at bedtime. Not recommended for children under 2 years of age. Patients with renal impairment should start with a lower dose.
