ASAQ
ASAQ is a fixed-dose combination medication containing artesunate (an artemisinin derivative) and amodiaquine (a chloroquine-like schizonticide). It is recognized by the WHO as an effective Artemisinin-based Combination Therapy (ACT) for treating uncomplicated malaria.
Dosage by Body Weight
Administered orally once daily for 3 consecutive days. Dosage is based strictly on patient body weight. Should be swallowed with water or dispersed in water for young children. Take with or after a meal to reduce gastrointestinal side effects.
