Apriso

Apriso is a locally acting aminosalicylate (5-ASA) anti-inflammatory drug. It is specifically formulated as an extended-release capsule to deliver mesalamine to the colon, helping to maintain remission of ulcerative colitis in patients 18 years of age and older.

Dosage by Body Weight

The recommended dose for adult patients is 1.5 g (four 0.375 g capsules) taken once daily in the morning. Apriso capsules can be taken with or without food. Do not chew, crush, or break the capsules, as this disrupts the extended-release formulation.
